Although it's not a huge attraction for international visitors, Auckland's zoo is quite good considering the city's relatively small population. The zoo has all the main African animals, although the main attraction for most visitors are the native animals such as the kiwi and tuatara.
Admission: NZ$12. Open: 9.30am-5.30pm daily except Christmas day.
